A deadly crash in Los Angeles’ Fairfax District left one person dead and three others treated Thursday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a security kiosk in a parking lot near Trader Joe’s, authorities said.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the collision was reported at approximately 1:21 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, in the 7900 block of 3rd Street. When emergency crews arrived, they found a vehicle believed to be a white Tesla that had crashed into a security kiosk in the parking area.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional patients were treated by emergency responders following the collision, although further details about their injuries were not immediately available.

The crash prompted an emergency response in the busy Fairfax District, with authorities working at the scene as investigators began examining what led to the fatal collision.
